Custom Seized Representative's 13 autos carried into Nigeria

The Team Zonal Administrator, Mr Bala Dole, made this known in a meeting with the News Office of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Monday.

He said the vehicles, having a place with the unidentified congressperson were; 12 new Toyota Hilux and one Land Cruiser Jeep. Dole, who declined to name the said Representative, said the 13 vehicles were trailed from Maigatari in Jigawa, taking after an insight report, showing they were pirated into Nigeria through land fringes.

"In light of the knowledge report, the vehicles were 30 in number however we could trail 13 of them 12 of which were covered up in the representative's compound.

"We fixed the house and recovered the vehicles and they are currently in our guardianship," Dole said. The personality of the congressperson will remain a speculating diversion for the present. There are three representatives speaking to Kano State.

They are Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Kano focal; Barau Jibrin, Kano North and Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, Kano South. All are speaking to the All Progressives Congress. The team likewise said that it seized different things, including foodstuff worth N269.5 million in Kano and Jigawa states inside eight months.

 The things included 9,757 packs of rice, 2,916 of remote supergetti, 2,770 containers of outside vegetable oil and 999 containers of macaroni. He said others were; 889 cover of second hand garments, 50 utilized school sacks, 110 containers of new outside shoes, 956 packs of mosquito loop and six genuinely utilized autos. "The aggregate estimation of the seizure made by the team since it was built up in July 2016, barring the 13 Congressperson's vehicles, is N269.5 million.

"We are yet to decide the cost of the 13 vehicles having a place with the Representative".
